About Me.
I am a geoscientist and a West Australian landscape photographer.
I have spent much of my life working in remote landscapes. My creative work is shaped by the interaction of geology, water, and vegetation, and by the changing qualities of light and season.
I am drawn to quiet moments in the landscape—where form, space, and subtle change suggest a balance that is both enduring and transient.

My Intent
My photography is a form of personal expression—responding to the emotion a landscape evokes rather than documenting it, sometimes accompanied by haiku.
I am drawn to the imperfect and the transient; to quieter, more ordinary expressions of nature.
Through my work, I seek to reveal a sense of wonder in the everyday landscape, where change and persistence coexist.

My Gear
I use Fujifilm cameras.
My primary camera is a GFX100 II, supported by an X-T5 or an X100VI when weight matters.
Each offers a different way of seeing; the constraints of the X100VI often help reset my perspective.
The choice of camera matters less than the act of looking.
